2014. Contemporary perspectives on the priory of La Tourette, Le Corbusier

Collective exhibition

November 2014

Le Cloître Ouvert - 222 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré 75008 Paris

The Dominican friars of the priory of La Tourette have for several years invited artists to place their works in a dialogue with the architectural work of Le Corbusier. Photographic artists are invited to take up residencies during each of these contemporary art exhibitions. Their work offers new perspectives on the architecture of La Tourette.

This collective exhibition at Le Cloître Ouvert sees Stéphane Couturier, Philippe Chancel, Franck Christen, Marie-Noëlle Décoret, Pascal Hausherr, Jacqueline Salmon, George Dupin, Laszlo Horwath and François Diot unveil both graphic and highly sensitive photographs. They reveal the power of both the architectural work and the life within, through the presence of the friars, attesting to the fascination that the priory continues to hold.
